I saw this Chuo-ku (Osaka) bar sign and asked the people outside if I could photograph it. The man working outside said I was a crazy Gaijin and said no. However, the woman working beside him rebuked him for his manners, then permitting me to take some pix. Then I went into the bar (for more beer!) and had a nice chat with all the people inside. Incidentally, if you're ever in Japan, get used to the idea of being asked many questions! Japanese people are very curious. They always ask people their age! I think this is so they can determine what level of protocol or deference is required.
