Stunning....it looks fantastic, just the right size and frame to captivate the room!

This was a birthday gift for my cousin. She absolutely loved it. She liked the artist's style and subject of the print (which is the neighborhood where we grew up). She was very impressed with the quality of the print and excellent framing.

The frame was scratched, the wire to hang it was done the wrong way around. Very disappointed. I have multiple photos to demonstrate but your system only lets me upload 1.

I really enjoy having this print in my bedroom. I have so many good memories spending time with family at the Hotel Del Coronado, which I am now reminded of daily. Congratulations on the beautiful painting and thank you for your service Mr. Bradshaw!

Artist's Description

Wasp mimic bush cricket (Scaphura sp.) on a leaf in the Amazon rainforest. This harmless species of bush cricket is a mimic of wasps of the genus Pepsis. These wasps hunt tarantulas, and possess a very painful sting. This is an example of Batesian mimicry. Photographed in Ecuador.

About Dr George Beccaloni

Science Photo Library was founded in 1981 by Michael Marten, one of the authors of "Worlds Within Worlds", a book exploring different ways to observe the universe - from electron micrographs, to images of earthrise taken from the Apollo spacecraft. When Marten started receiving requests for the beautiful images in the book, he had an idea of setting up Science Photo Library. Since then, Science Photo Library has continued to work alongside world acclaimed photographers and the leading science and medical experts to provide a central source of the best science and specialist imagery available. Although the collection started with scientific images, it has grown to encompass all aspects of science and their impact on everyday life.
