Watching the Days Go By
Leaburg Canal is one of my favorite places to go to walk my dog, calm my mind, and photograph. It is just always so peaceful to walk by the water, no matter what the season. And as often as I go, there is always something to photograph: a small natural feature, or the landscape. The coloring and mood of the landscape varies depending on season and time of day. This Spring day, the yellow wildflowers contrasted nicely with the blues and greens, and I blended an additional exposure and some subtle painterly layers to create the look and mood I wanted - the unhurried beauty of a day slowly unfurling.
