Wonderful capture of this awesome "Big Boy Toy", Randy! What magnificent gardens! Loved your story! L/F

Great description, I enjoyed reading it! Love your gardens! l/f

Randy, I enjoyed reading your about your creative ingenuity to get your plants watered!!! It's so sad but today the young generation would not have a clue!! Your place looks beautiful and so well manicured, reminds me of my younger days when I had my 10 acres and horses, sigh :))...fav/love

Surely got the visits along the highway, and lots of comments, and how did you do that type of thing, so am having it on display for our Annual Art Show and Garden Walk, in June, so people can see how to water, and get through a drought! Thanks much, Kay, as one has to have sense and a sense of humor surely helps! LOL

Lol....yes Randy you needed this! Great capture...v.f.

Thanks Sandi, and the nice thing is during a drought like last summer, it does the trick!

Thanks so much, Robert, for you unique and welcomed comment on this piece, as it is truly appreciated!

Thanks so much for your gracious comment, Patricia, and for your appreciation of what I am up to, when not on FAA!

Thanks so much, Bob, for your awesome input and comment! Thanks for the F/V and you appreciation of what I do in my "off" time!

Hank Hill (King of the Hill) would be proud of you Randy!

Wow! great picture "water boy" and wonderful description .... you are very clever indeed! .... patricia

Awesome idea Randy! Thanks for the great description. V/F

Sure saved me backaches and a lot of time with our drought conditions this summer, Sandy! Thanks so much for your great and encouraging comment. Much appreciated!

Great idea Randy, I love it!!

Thanks much, Sue, as i always appreciate and welcome hearing from you! I guess it is a lot, as with 6-7 hours on FAA, then another 4 hours on the yard, and then today, I got a big thrill of being asked to do a photo shoot for a friend who passed away, owned a golf course, which is now operated by his son. I took over 150 photos today in 7 hours of greens, birdies, pars, and bogies, and the rest were interesting. About the time I sat down to eat I heard the melody of Scotland, and after the shivers dispersed, I saw the bag piper coming out of the corner on the last hole of the course; What a great treat for me to hear, and talk to this Scottish gentleman and hear his folk lore of the sagas he plays about. Felt like I was actually there! It totally made my day!

Kristin, thanks very much for your words of support,a s they are very much appreciated. And, thanks again, for the vote!

Mike, thanks so much for your heartwarming comment as it really was much appreciated, especially today, my friend!

At least they are surviving, Carol, and that is all I can expect! Thanks for you contact, as I always appreciate hearing from you!

Clever idea, Randy! That's alot of acres to take care of!!!

Very colorful and fun, Randy. Vote.

Love the colors Randy. The yellow and green make such nice shots. Nice work our friend.

Not only a very clever idea and useful but a real "show stopper" too. Your gardens must be all the more beautiful for this.

I just love it, Will! You made my day with your wonderful and unique insight and your wonderful sense of humor! Thanks, my friend, as I needed that!

Very inventive of you, Randy~~I'm glad it's working well to keep all those plants, flowers, shrubs and trees going in the drought! A great image and title, and hence, Elvis, is now known as the Water Boy!!! You could stand in the tub and be driven onto the stage or to the performing area for your concerts!!! F&V!

Was looking for a nautical theme print to go with our antique replica of "The Sea Witch". Capt. James Cook was one of the first to make navigational maps! Perfect pairing! We love the quality, the ease of order and the timeliness I which we received him! Thank you and will certainly place more orders......

Artist's Description

While with the drought conditions in our area of Wisconsin, with 6 acres to tend to, I let the grass go, but had to care and tend to all of the flowers, bushes, trees, and shrubs, we planted this year. To get root systems established, they need a abundant amount of moisture. Thus, with 6 acres, my age and condition of my water carrying arms, with 50 lbs. of water in each hand, imagine strafing over 6 acres of land to keep things alive. Thus, ingenuity hit me. I took my Mower, a John Deere, and my trailer, which is now of John Deere colors, and bought a livestock water tank, 100 gallons. I then put a bilge pump for a boat at the bottom, hooked a fitted hose to it, then wired it to the battery of my tractor. In the space between, I put a rocker switch to turn pump on and off. I then fill the tank with almost a 100 gallons of water, drive around the 6 acres, and water whatever is new, or stunted, due to the drought! Other than the lawn, you should see our gardens! As good as new and sprin...

About Randy Rosenberger

As a retired teacher, having taught for 35 years, I spend a lot of time in our many flower gardens, with water features, metal sculptures, and many flowering trees, bushes and shrubs. My wife gave me a digital camera for a Christmas present a few years ago, and I started taking photos of the many types of flora and fauna on our property. This became an enjoyable hobby for me, to enjoy the outdoors, and capture some of the beautiful photo opportunities that our gardens have provided. I especially love close-ups of flowers and insects, and basically anything that has something unique to capture on film. I have entered several contests in our area, and even won some recognition with my photos. I have posted on Face Book and am now...
