Description
This is the first demonstration piece for the Plein Air Painters group. We assembled at Watershed Farm and simply walked down the lane. I looked toward the east-northeast with the sun over my right shoulder. It was 10:30 am by the time I started. It is always a challenge to walk and chew gum at the same time let alone to paint and describe what you are doing and why. I think the group really enjoyed the effort though.
The deformation zone on the eastern horizon was the back of a retreating low pressure area. The streets of cumulus fractus and stratocumulus were aligned along the northwesterly winds which were ushering in some cooler summer air to the Oak Ridges Moraine.
