Watt's Island is an island in the southeast Chesapeake Bay. Due to erosion not much of the island is left. Until 1944 it was home to a working bay lighthouse. A storm toppled all structures in that year, and the land the lighthouse was on is now under the bay. I researched this lighthouse and keeper's quarters, all built prior to 1900 and painted this with the aim of maintaining historical accuracy.

Patrick Belote is a digital artist from Onancock, VA. He paints highly detailed pictures on his computer with special software and a graphics pad that uses a pen as a brush, pencil, pastels, or any other type of medium. His software choice is Corel Painter, but is skilled in and sometimes uses Adobe Photoshop and Gimp. He specializes in scenic landscapes, often from his home near the Chesapeake Bay, with vibrant colors and extreme detail. He also paints portraits and sci-fi art.
