Beautifully expressed rendition of the Shrine of the Bab. The frame and matting showcase the print. We have it prominently on our living room wall with other sacred pictures.

I think the frame and mat work very well with this, it is really impressive in person. Grouped with a small Grant Wood with high quality lighting it sets the mood for a Georgia farmhouse.
Artist's Description
This oil painting by my dad, Otto Werner (1923-1991) of Webster's Falls near Dundas, Ontario was painted in 1954. My parents used to take me there for a Sunday afternoon outing as a child. My husband and I visit the same spot with our grandchildren. It is a gorgeous scenic area, especially in the fall when the vibrant color of maple trees envelops the picturesque cliffs and rocks of the beautiful little mountain stream with many waterfalls as it tumbles deep into the woods.

Born in Aachen, Germany, I grew up in Ontario, Canada, where I still live with my husband (the love of my life) and family, from which comes the inspiration for much of my work. My vibrant watercolors, acrylic and oil paintings cannot be labelled in only one category. My paintings reflect my life: enriched with excitement as well as quiet times. My fascination with capturing a flash of movement in a motionless art form is evident in my sports paintings and energetic portraits.
