Greetings, yes, I was aware of that I have viewed it several times and will never forget the very first. The natural light passing thru the blue stain glass inside the tomb is just absolutely mind boggling and the cold white marble statue almost comes to life. My first attempt lol, lol, a friend hoisted me up and take an image with my hand inside one of the windows on the side. I am glad while you were visiting to do a photo shoot of this magnificent statue....Cheers and Happy New Year Michael Hoard
Mary Smyth replied:
Goodness Michael that must have been a sight to witness. We have been coming to New Orleans every year since 2001 and spending more & more time every year. For the last few we spent the entire summer so I feel like New Orleans is as much my home as Toronto. Some day I would love to get into the Odd Fellows Cemetery. Again thank you. Happy New Year to you too Michael

WOW thank you so much Michael for the honour and the generous praise of my image. You probably know that access to the inside the mausoleum is no longer permitted so I was very lucky last summer to have been given access to the statue by the caretaker.
