This wagon was pulled by a capable draft horse and was taking a batch of freshly picked sunflowers for show at Gorman Farm in Evandale, Ohio. Gorman Farm is on the list for Historic Places and it is a continuously operating farm since the 1700s and run by dedicated park volunteers. It is a teaching farm. A slice of heaven in the middle of a city. They grow and sell free-range chickens and eggs. Fresh processed turkeys for Thanksgiving or any other time too! They have a working garden and a large bank barn. I spent many a day at lunch hour enjoying the nature and the flowers and the overly friendly chickens! The sunflower field is something to behold. Acres and acres!!
