The beach towel is really just for laying on inasmuch as it is too big and heavy to put around your body, which is just fine. The artwork in it is beautiful. I can't wait to use it.

Wow - I didn't realise it was going to be that big! It's a gift for a young member of the family - I think he'll be thrilled as he's a tractor fanatic at 6 years old. A practical gift too. The towel has a smoother upper side so it'll be more comfortable to sit on at the beach. It seems to have a thick absorbent power so no usual skinny beach towel.

The western columbine occurs from coastal Alaska south through the Yukon Territory, British Columbia and adjacent Alberta to Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, California, Nevada and Wyoming.
Aquilegia formosa ranges in height from 30 to 100 cm. The stems are pubescent above with the leaves glabrous or pubescent on either surface. The flowers are nodding. The sepals are red, 10 to 25 mm long, and perpendicular. The blades are yellow, very short, 2 to 6 mm long. The spurs are red, 10 to 20 mm long and straight. The stamens extend beyond the blades.
Deep red nodding flowers with yellow centers float above bright green foliage on long, thin stems. They flower for many weeks starting in late April. This plant loves partially to fully shaded woodland areas, is easy to grow and very adaptable. Great nectar source for native butterflies and hummingbirds.
