I had held off purchasing any Super Bowl LVIII collectibles or memorabilia until I found something that I thought was just “awesome”. When I saw this SI Cover, I knew I had to have it. Honestly it’s one of the best photos I’ve ever seen. Along with the captions it captures what Super Bowl LVIII was all about. Your Photog was in the right place at the right time and did a great job of capturing what Chiefs fans all across the country felt at that moment. As you can see I had the perfect place for it, it makes this wall complete and up to date.

Artist's Description

What is it?

A couple of months ago, I was spending the afternoon with some friends. I had been doing some plein air painting. We were in North Brevard County, Florida. It was a steaming hot afternoon.

My friend and I wandered around trying to amuse ourselves. As we chatted amiably, we noticed something pretty interesting. We found some fascinating creatures to watch! Since I am trying to keep this a bit of a mystery, I won't give many more clues.

We watched them for a couple hours. We were able to get up right in their faces. We took turns touching these wondrous creatures. They didn't seem to mind, at all. They didn't utter a sound. They had wrinkled skin but were smooth to the touch. Fortunately, I had my camera with me. I took lots and lots of photographs of them from various angles. The lighting was good as the sky was a bit cloudy. I had no good excuse not to get some interesting shots.

I intend to post a few more photos at a later date...

Although born in upstate New York, I grew up mostly in Nevada and California. The fabulous panoramic views of the far west inspired me to begin painting and photographing it’s beauty. While living in the Mediterranean, I was especially influenced by the great Renaissance art and the chiaroscuro work of Caravaggio. I began with oils, worked with a wide variety of mediums but now mostly work in acrylic, oils, and photography. I studied mostly engineering in college but ended up with a degree in Technical Illustration, one in Psychology after several moves and colleges, one in Art Education. My experience as a...
