Description
This was a painting done on location in northern Wisconsin's Nicolet National Forest this past November. It is typical of where a hemlock and cedar tree swampy are meets an edge of popples and old growth forest. Just as typical, where such changes meet in the forests you will find well worn trails used by the whitetail deer...known as deer runs. Escape routes, social gatherings.
Painted on an absolutely gorgeous late fall day, a touch of snow warning that winter is on its way.
