Description
Like a sea of sand, the White Sands National Monument rises from the Tularosa Basin in the middle of New Mexico's desert. The waveshaped dunes are made of gypsum sand. This enchanting nature reserve is located at the northern end of the Chihuahua Desert near Alamogordo. The soaptree yucca grows up to 30 cm per year. Lovely desert impression.
