Like a sea of sand, the White Sands National Monument rises from the Tularosa Basin in the middle of New Mexico's desert. The undulating dunes are made of gypsum sand. This enchanting nature reserve is located at the northern end of the Chihuahua Desert near Alamogordo. Bright sunset that makes the desert appear in beautiful colors.
