Description
Whose Streets? | Magnolia Pictures. Told by the activists and leaders who live and breathe this movement for justice, Whose Streets? is an unflinching look at the Ferguson uprising. When unarmed teenager Michael Brown is killed by police and left lying in the street for hours, it marks a breaking point for the residents of St. Louis, Missouri.
This picture is from a poster on a telephone pole in the Delmar Loop of University City Missouri, a very eclectic city, full of life and diversity. Nelly was raised here, and Chuck Berry was a headliner for decades, at the Duck Room of Blueberry Hill. Missourians are a proud people with strict moral fiber. We will risk all, if we are in the right! Because of this diversity, we have learned that All peoples can be good or bad, and that this factor is Not based on skin color. One thing we need to remember is that anyone can become a victim of police brutality. It does not Just happen to black people, but they are 9 times more likely to be harmed by police, than any other race! That is WRONG! Period! But we as a bigger society, still need to unite here! Cops are getting more and more aggressive and less and less accountable for these actions! They pull you out and slam you on your chin? Yank peoples arms up way too high, jump on their heads, make it so people can't breathe, spray crowds with pepper spray for nothing! It is OUT OF HAND! UNITE! Please don't hold up signs that say "White People" this and that because, We Are Not All The Same, and neither are you!
