In what was perhaps the best sunset of the whole summer workshop season, the wildflowers were bloomed and ready to do their part. And seeing it from the cradle of Summit Lake on Mount Evans, our perspective was stunning!
I'm not sure if the students knew just how pretty it was, but this demo image sure showed it. I'm glad I was showing off the Magic Cloth technique during the workshop because it sure worked well here!
How I Got The Shot
Having just trained students in use of the Magic Cloth technique, this was a natural. This scene was pretty much right in front of me and our timing had us there when we didn't even have to wait long for the glow. People got to practice their technique right before the light got good and then they used it when it was its best.
That Magic Cloth technique certainly isn't the only way to go but it worked really well for me and my students that night!
