Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

I wanted a photo that showed what a beast these things are, and this one really shows it.

Perfect! I wish that you'd included a translation of the two inscriptions in some ancient language that are above the shoulders of St John Coltrane. It would cost your company virtually nothing to supply this with the picture.
Artist's Description
This acrylic painting represents the dramatic, maniacal feeding dance of a reddish egret, which is a treat to witness. Near sunset, when the tide is out and shallow pools are caught in the sand dunes this hunter flies in to feast on the small crabs and fish that have not gone out with the tide, but are trapped in the small body of water surrounded by sand; talk about sand traps! The bird raises its wings, as shown in my painting, and stomps wildly around the pool, terrifying the small toothsome creatures who rush to the shade of the egrets’ wings, convinced they are headed for safety. Like a child at an ersatz fishing hole at a country fair attraction, the bird with its long beak scores catch after catch. Talk about drama. Nature red in head, neck and beak! In the background three pelicans (who have their own spectacular method of fishing) fly serenely to their nighttime accommodations in a crowded stand of mango trees on a small island nearby.
About Katherine Fishburn
I’m just a self-taught artist who likes to break rules. I broke them in the scholarship I did when I was still a college professor—and was called on my transgressions. As a child I (apparently) broke them when my secondary school art teacher told me in no uncertain terms that I simply could not mix the representational and the abstract. (Now who in Europe had been causing a sensation in the art scene for half a generation when she told me this: Picasso and Miró, to name just two.) In any event, her censure didn’t take. I’m still breaking rules. Then there’s the rather snippy young woman (art student, I presume), who awhile back visited my studio and was shocked, shocked by how vivid my paintings are. Suffused with her callow and...
