Many years ago, my uncle Thomas (Tom) Phillip Hufford asked me to come up with a word the opposite of predator. Amitor is that word. Ami: Fr. friend, Amigo: Sp. friend, Amity: Eng. harmony, Ami: Formosa, Taiwan. Giraffe: non predatory animal unless young attacked. Butterflies: live, love, laugh, hope. Artist's Description

This bronze sculpture depicts a cowboy and his horse resting on a ridge as they contemplate the change in season, their lives, and their world. It stands approximately 19" high on a rich walnut base. It is available in either traditional french brown patina, or in rich butterscotch brindle patina. Limited Edition of 45 pieces.

About Kim Corpany

Kim Corpany grew up on the backs of her family's horses in a beautiful valley in Northern Utah. Being horse crazy from the start, Kim's artwork has nearly always revolved around horses. She earned an AS degree from Weber State University and then a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Utah State University. Kim Corpany studied landscape painting at the Jackson Hole Artist's Academy under the direction of Jim Wilcox and Oil painting with Tom Browning at Scottsdale Artists School. She studied horse anatomy and sculpture with CA sculptor Mehl Lawson. This class launched Kim's career in bronze sculpture and sculpting bronze horses. She has also continued her learning by learning horse psychology, anatomy, and training from reining horse...
