The artist is my son and is very talented. In high school he was accepted by Chicago Art Institute but couldn’t afford the tuition. He graduated from Fredonia State University with a Fine Art degree.
Surprise! The first day of Spring, in the Montagne Noire (the Black Mountain) here in the south of France. Our small village, dates back to the year 800, when it's church was built.. It hasn't changed all that much.. Winding streets, stone houses with walls 2 & a half feet thick.. In a small hidden valley, that normally protects us from strong winds, up at the 1,700 foot elevation. But last night, there was no escape from..Winter's Last Hurrah.
Peeping out the window this morning.. Imagine the Joy.. to see this out of the window! Overlooking the lovely scene, & scurrying to get dressed & running; I spent a delightful couple of hours in the virgin snow, unable to tear myself away.. Until..some really numb fingers won my surrender. Was it worth it? What do you think?
One week later.. All the 'white' is gone.. Trees are sporting green buds & leaves...
& the Hydrangea bushes are full of the same.. Soon! Happy Spring!
