I purchased three of these notebooks for gifts and I am thrilled with the purchase. Everything about the notebook is quality- the paper, the reproduction of the print and the way they were bagged for shipping. I will be back to purchase more soon.

I love Liana's art, and having it in any capacity in my home only enhances the overall frequency! Grateful to add this journal to my collection!!
Witch-hazel is a native flowering shrub in the family Hamamelidaceae. The name Hamamelis means that the flowers bloom at the same time as the fruit from the previous year is ripening. There are three species in North America and two in Asia. The North American species are occasionally called winterbloom because they bloom in the late fall with stringy, yellow flowers that kind of resemble forsythia.
This is a twig with an emerging bud and a fruit. I took the picture March 22, 2014, in Green Lane, Pennsylvania, USA.
I always wanted to try photography, and my retirement offered an opportunity to do just that. The natural world is my first love. Here you will find pictures of things both large (landscapes, for instance) and small (macro) that catch my eye. I hope the images serve as a window into the natural world many of you don't have the chance to see. In a sense, I'm trying to create a guided nature trail, sharing what information I have about the subject. I'm always grateful for new and better information and welcome all input. Learning is food for the mind and soul. Nothing is ever harmed in the picture-taking process, but some things that wander into our home (like spiders) are carefully removed from the house after they serve as "models"....
