Sallie Howard Memorial Chapel was built by Col. Milford Howard in 1937 around a boulder as a memorial to his first wife. The last of his funds were used to build the chapel, after failed investments and illness... not having enough for the cross he wanted, nor the stained glass windows; but the town worked together to complete this simply beautiful and well stated chapel upon Lookout Mountain. Above the pulpit are the words penned from her final letter "God has all ways been as good to me as I would let him be."
Photographer drawn to nature, survivor of polio and breast cancer, expressing gifts in a spiritual and colorful sense providing healing focus for self as well as viewer. Background studies from a quaint art studio in small town Tennessee (oils and acrylics), Accounting at Columbia State Community College, Modeling - print and commercial work in the early 80's, and Real-estate investing of older craftsman style homes in the 90's.
