Near The Valley of Rocks in Lynton in Devon is a coastal stretch of land that is truly dramatic. Not least of all for its ambience but also because of the great weathering that the landscape has endured. Here it is rugged and ancient, permanent in its stance against the elements. There are stunning rock formations nearby and this stoic tree almost offering its arms to those who would sit in its company.
