This piece is about all the things an average woman does to make each woman Wonder Woman. It is acrylic on stretched canvas that has a few intentional folds that are not seen in this slightly cropped version. It is on loan to the Arts Alliance Illinois offices, downtown Chicago.
About Joyce Owens
Joyce Owens Biography Owens recently was commissioned by the landmark Blackstone Hotel in Chicago. She was commissioned by two patrons for "Not Just nother Pretty Face" at the Hyde Park Art Center in 2017. She has exhibited her work in Turin, Italy and has been included in the Arts In Embassies Program in Stockholm, Sweden, Mbabane, Swaziland, NATO, in Brussels, Belgium, Monrovia, Liberia and Guyana. The traveling exhibition, "Chicago Artists Interpret Shakespeare: As They Like It" opened Oct. 1, 2016 at the Fourth Presbyterian Church on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, IL., and has been presented at the Beverly Arts Center in Chicago, Carthage College in Wisconsin and Bowling Green University in Ohio.
