Using as a wallet
I thought you might enjoy learning about my work process. This is a work in progress of the Flemish method of painting - seven layers. The canvas is prepared by gesso/modeling paste and sanded until completely smooth. This sanding can take as long as three days to complete. The drawing is done, and then the first layer. This is the umber layer on the horses and riders, and as you can see each layer is so beautiful, you could stop and hang it on your wall as is. The umber layer is put on and then when dry additional darks are done as needed. It is Burnt Umber and Liquin.
