The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

Wood Storks, like many birds, are listed as threatened or endangered due to loss of habitat and other factors. The adults have a bald, leathery head and neck. The juvenile has grayish brown feathers on its head and neck. To me, these homely, prehistoric-looking birds have an awkward grace and a beauty all their own.

Art is an activity I've enjoyed ever since I was old enough to hold a crayon; yet when it was time to decide on a career, teaching seemed to be the best choice.
