Here am I, on a week of holiday in Vale de Cambra, some forty kilometers south of Porto, Portugal.

Unfortunately, the weather has been, day and night, continuous storms with torrential rain.

We are here on holiday to celebrate the christening of my 'better half's' daughters baby boy.

As we were, prisoners of the weather, I decided that I would use the time to paint a picture or two. I had with me my Canson, Vidalon, cylinder mold paper.(300g/m2: 140lb) and a small variety of paints.

Fortunately, where we are staying, there are two retriever dogs, one black, one brown.

For me, the ideal subjects, to draw/paint.

This is the brown dog as mentioned above, her name is Fiona.

This painting was sold when shown on one of my sites.
