Description
This trooper was wounded in a skirmish, which during this era happened on many occasions. These soldiers spent weeks and longer in the saddle chasing or hunting their adversaries on orders from their commanders. In doing so, they carved out and mapped thousands of miles in new territories that had not been seen by anyone but the Indians that settled in these regions.
