Thank you, Heidi. :-)

What a great image! I'm so curious about this ship that I'll do a little research. :)

Thank you, Bob. A lot of people take photos of the Peter Iredale during their trips at the Oregon coast. I've not known this beach without the shipwreck. lol! :-)

Fantastic seascape, the bones of the shipwreck together with that sky and sea is perfect. - v/f

Thanks! I'm always amazed at how the sand shifts with the tide and the seasons.

I like this one, too,. The waves swirling in shows why it is a wreck - it's had years of water-wear! Phyllis

This was a great gift for my wife. The imprint is perfectly set on the cup and the cup itself is well made. I can tell a little extra effort goes into your products. Thanks.

I have been enjoying my coffee drinking from my “Short Story” cup. The size is perfect, good weight, true colors. The design is intriguing and fun. A good way to enjoy some great art while kicking back with your favorite beverage.

I am using this mug for the daily coffee rather than my traditional plain red mug. Shipping was fast.

Artist's Description

FAA watermark will NOT appear on artwork purchases. The Peter Iredale was a four-masted steel barque sailing vessel that ran ashore October 25, 1906, on the Oregon coast en route to the Columbia River. It was abandoned on Clatsop Spit near Fort Stevens in Warrenton about four miles (6 km) south of the Columbia River channel. Wreckage is still visible, making it a popular tourist attraction as one of the most accessible shipwrecks of the Graveyard of the Pacific.

About Chalet Roome-Rigdon

I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest and was introduced to photography as a child. He will be greatly missed as he passed away at the age of 91 in 2015. Relocated to Billings, MT. from Oregon in August of 2015. I'm mostly self taught and a vast majority of my images come from experiences, experimentation, feelings, and things I have learned over the years. I draw inspiration from the things around me. I utilize the natural light and rarely use flash photography. I...
