Ooooh. I like this one. Nice use of space. Love the flow. I see the flow of music, but I also see the ebb and flow of life-up and down, black on one side, white on the other, and the vibrancy of life push upwards to drown out the darkness. EXCELLENT.

You’ve got the jazzy blues, must be contagious, because I now have the jazzy blues. Makes me think of the early days of the vibraphone. Did you know that Sammy Davis Jr. played the vibraphone? Your “Xylophone Blues” stirred me to google Autumn Leaves. I will have to email you a link to a YouTube of some jazzy blues. This is nicely rendered Viva. Thank you for sharing and taking me tHERE. A lot of music has been composed about the color blue. Your artwork reminds me of the song by Sir Elton John, “I Guess That’s Why They Call It The Blues.” Xylophone Blues! Well done! LvFv Janet💕

VIVA ,so much of your art, begs the viewer to ask "How did she do that !." This one has me asking, along with Artichoke popart, and Come sit in my Rainbow. This Blues Music representation feels like each single xylaphone bar, can be struck individually or in unison with one another. And this is like the array of our emotions. I especially like the curve of the white and blue line . It almost feels like a path.fav both like and love, my friend.
VIVA Anderson replied:
Susan, lol, now this one was inspired by the alphabet letter 'X'......and once I found an ad/image for the xylophone, I was off and running...it's also all about my love of music, dance (the arabesque),line,abstraction...it all just came together for me...and 'blues' music was my inspiration....maybe all too deep for me to explain...I just knew where to go with the image into this realm of jazz, noir, haunting sound:as Bob said here...rhythm and blues...what better..! .xV.

Profound - I see Jazz noir, city streets, night waves - and hear haunting sounds of a well play xylophone ..awesome work! L/F
