About Hilda and Jose Garrancho
Although I've spent the last 39 years of my life devoted to my nursing career, I've always dabbled in art. I am primarily self-trained. I began my art interest with the use of pastels and then oils. I love the blending qualities of the two mediums. However an interest in painted ceramic tiles led me to painting with acrylics. I appreciate the vivid colors and the versatility of this medium. My subject interest has flowed from portraits, to flowers, to seascapes and currently to see what is around me. I've been seeing the life of used flower pots, the beauty of dried palm fronds and the hardy weeds with their own variety of greens and blues. I want to share these interests with you.
