"1946" Chevrolet Truck" A fisherman is launching his homemade wooden boat. The boat is a forerunner of todays' shallow running "scooter boats," this foam filled, virtually-unsinkable craft was designed by co-inventor E.A. Lewis in the early 1950s'. Lewis lived in the Lower South Texas area and fished the Laguna Madre. Skippers turned by leaning, surfer-style. Plans and materials back then cost around $100. These were one person boats and fishermen usually went by 2 or 3 boats. Maybe this person has others waiting to launch. 1946 Chevy truck !! man they had style back then. Anyway, hope you enjoy this piece of art.
