These two foxes are actually sisters, not male- female lovers. They have the same mother, but are born in different years. The elder sister helped raising the younger one. She played with her, brought rabbits home for her and learned her little fox sister hunting for herself.
So far nothing new, foxes from a former litter often help their mother to raise the young fox kits.
What is special though is that this bond persisted.
Years later they still shared a territory. They hugged each other, mutually removed ticks and even shared meals. Ain't that sweet?
That's how deep sister love can go.:D
