A tourist destination in Beijing, China is the Yinding Bridge which has become a landmark of this very old city. First built in Ming Dynasty, the bridge is in the shape of a silver sycee; hence, why it is called Yinding Bridge.
HouHai (the Rear Sea) refers to a lake and its surrounding neighborhood in Xicheng District of Central Beijing. Houhai (pronounced HO-hi) is the largest of the three lakes, along with Qianhai (the Front Sea), and Xihai (the Western Sea), that comprise Shichahai, the collective name for the three northern-most lakes in central Beijing. Willow trees and a maze of hutongs, shops, and cafes all surround this stone bridge which is a picture postcard in early Springtime.
