Description
I did this in a class during the fall of 2010 and never thought to post it until now. This picture has new meaning to me since I have been recently visited by a deer on my property. This deer seems to appear just when I need reminding that I am not ever alone in God's country. The art instructor wanted us to draw the image of the deer and then I wanted to personalize it by adding the top and bottom portion to create a triptych design. The snow scene is from my minds eye. It became my Christmas card that year.

Very eloquent detail! I was fortunate to grow up in the country where wild deer played around us if we kept calm. You portray their clever, tender spirits so precisely!

How lovely for you to re- discover such a beautiful drawing and for us to discover it too! This is most unusual Lynda as a triptych design and immediately catches the eye. The affection of the deer, golden leaves and deep snow make a beautiful combination and the perfect Christmas card too. So very serene and a most touching scene.L/F
