This looks gorgeous printed on wood. It is now hanging on my therapy office wall and is perfect. The color is true to the photo. I love it.

Very pleased with the image, color, printing . My selection of printing onto wood is great for this image. There are a few mildly dark lines which are natural to wood. They show through the image and contribute to the image--glad that none of these was over the face of the horse rider.

About Doris Potter
My passion is to express Nature's beauty through photography. I am self-taught and like things simple. Thus, photo manipulation is kept to a minimum. The intrinsic beauty of our natural surroundings does not need enhancing; only revealing. All photos of wildlife have been taken in the wild and involve no staging. My goal is to bring out the character of an animal ... the essence of a leaf ... the spirit of all Nature. "The Sacred is clothed in fur and feathers and scales and skin - It flashes out from shining eyes in darkened woods - And speaks in bird songs and cicada serenades - It touches a place in me where wildness dwells - A long forgotten, hidden place that shivers in sudden resonance." I understand about the inner city wildlife. I was photographing bears and cubs in a cemetary in Duluth, Minnesota in September. They foraged for acorns under the old oak trees there. The mothers would lay in a large branch fork near the bottom and the cubs would do a tightrope walk on the top limbs and strip off leave clusters of acorns. I lost many of those images over the years. ; (
Doris Potter replied:
Oh, sorry to hear you lost those images. They sound wonderful. I would love to photograph bears!
Rory Cubel
Doris..you amaze me with all the wildlife you get close to. Do you live in an open area zoo? LOL. Kidding. I only wish I lived in your part of our world. Peace. :)
Doris Potter replied:
Hi Rory. I am so lucky to have so much wonderful wildlife near me. And it is in the middle of the city for the most part! We are lucky to have green spaces that are easily accessible.

I don't suppose they make very good pets, but it sure makes you want one...
Doris Potter replied:
Funny you should say that. I heard that Foxes are becoming more and more tame. I have had one try to play with me like a dog in an area where I had never seen one before so it wasn't like he "knew" me. I would love to pet one!

You find the coolest wildlife! What a beauty of a young fox. The coat looks so soft and healthy.
Doris Potter replied:
Yes, isn't he/she gorgeous!?
