Painting - One Line Ink Drawing, Semi Digital Fills
Tranquility lurks while instruments clash, harmonies like snakes writhe finding spaces where they flow and drumbeat ledges where the climb. Amidst it all we sit, perfectly reflected in our mirror selves, Zazen amidst the music.
One Austin Summer Willie Oteri, Brannen Temple, Chris Maresh, Mike Malone, and Chris Tondre got together and in one take, created the surreal and incredible impromptu jazz album called MateMaToot, Concepts Of. This is one of the six-panel one-line painting I made, inspired by the music, which became their album cover. A flat Mobius Strip, the artwork reconnects at either side, the harmonic line(s) which flow through and create the artwork never end, endlessly creating worlds in an infinite loop.
