Artist's Description
The Virgin River, out of sight here, has cut the canyons through the red and white Navajo sandstone in Zion Naional Park. The scenery is breathtaking everywhere in the park. I took this shot in October along the Pa'rus Trail, pretty near the history museum. The flowering plant in the foreground is rabbitbrush or rabbitbush (Chrysothamnus); it blooms in late summer and into the fall.
