About this Group

Addiction Recovery Art With TextFor those struggling to overcome an addiction, no one needs to tell you it's tough... you're living it. Sometimes you could use a few encouraging words to remind you that you're not in this alone and that, yes, change really is possible.

This group focuses on ART and WORDS of encouragement and praise for those recovering from alcoholism or drug addiction and their family members that can be turned into greeting cards, t-shirts, posters and mugs. Sort of a 'Get well/Thinking of you/Congratulations' mix. The 12 steps or any recovery group's slogans are wonderful examples.

Recovery is a complex and dynamic process encompassing all the positive benefits to physical, mental and social health that can happen when people with an addiction, or their family members, get the help they need. It is a process of change through which an individual achieves abstinence and improved health, wellness and quality of life. The end result is spiritual as well as physical. Please note that recovery spirituality is not allied with any sect or denomination. It is for those with religious views and those with none.

This group is not meant to be religious, only spiritual. PLEASE FOCUS YOUR POSTS CLOSELY ON ADDICTION RECOVERY AND NOT GENERAL CHRISTIAN OR OTHER RELIGIOUS TEXT.

Group Protocol

TEXT relating to addiction recovery is REQUIRED. You may never know when your gorgeous artwork, along with words of understanding and encouragement, will have a profound effect on someone else. I appreciate the time you take to pay it forward to others who may be lonely, scared and struggling.

3 images per day. All media with text considered.

I am looking forward to curating this valuable group.
