About this Group

Flowers Only In WhiteMy favorite color is blue for the dress but as far as flowers are concerned, I like white flowers the most. Let's see who else is white-flower-maniac. Please, submit photograph, painting, drawing or digital picture of a white flower. It may be a single flower, inflorescence, or a bunch of flowers on the plant, plucked, bouquet, in a vase, in hair, or on coat lapel.... what the heck! I mean anywhere.

Please, do include,
1. Name of the flower (species, genus or a vernacular name)
2. Season of flowering
3. Location of capture

The administrator of this group has the absolute power (absolute power corrupts absolutely, I've heard. Lol!) to remove any PoA without any explanation.

Humble Request:
Kindly, help me in selecting PoA's to be featured on the homepage by recommending. Please, write a few lines about PoA you are recommending. Of course, you can recommend your own work too. Any PoA scoring 3 recommendations will be featured. Want to stay anonymous? No problem. Send me a personal email from my profile page.

The winners of the contest 'Beaute Blanche'

First Place:

Sell Art Online

As all of you might have seen, that the entry entitled the 'Lily Of The Valley' by Ms. Carolyn Derstine was voted the best white flower. Ms. Carolyn Derstine is an accomplished photographer and loves nature as it is. Her style is versatile. Some of her photographs of insects are worth noticing. Her photographs have won many contests. Her work has also been published in the Outdoor Photographer Magazine and the National Wildlife Magazine. She has been a moderator on the Nature Photographers Network for several years. Let's congratulate Ms. Derstine on her winning the 'Beaute Blanche' contest. Thanks, Ms. Derstine for sharing your commendable artwork in 'Flowers Only in White' group.

It is sad that second and third place winners' entries don't even qualify for the contest. Flower in second place is gray in color while the one at 3rd place is violet and yellow in color. Though the artwork per se is excellent and deserve appreciation but according to the title of the contest they do not qualify and voters are requested to pay attention to requirements for the contest, please.

I hope everyone agrees with me. That said, let's appreciate all the entries. It was sheer joy to see such a plethora of excellent pieces of artwork.
