Orange Euphoria is a gallery of bold photographs drenched in Orange, the color of the spectrum associated with optimism, creativity, enthusiasm, and spontaneity among other things. With its name taken from the Sanskrit naranga, the color orange dates back to ancient Egypt, where it was used primarily to paint tombs and later to tint manuscripts. While orange may be one of the most rejected and under-used colors today, in this gallery Orange takes center stage.
Photographers: Work is accepted that meets the following guidelines:
1. Photography is the only medium allowed. Color enhancing, color filters, and minor added textures are acceptable. Other digital alterations (including added text, heavy textures, and borders) as well as Photo Derivative images are not permitted.
2. Orange must be the predominant color (meaning that orange should be the first and/or second color in the color palette). Please see this discussion for further details.
3. Any color in the photograph that is not orange, should be minimal and/or used as a contrast to the orange.
