Vagabonds In France Book By Michael A Barry On Amazon

Photographer Liesl Walsh is excited to announce the new release of her husband's book, "Vagabonds in France" (pen name Michael A. Barry), which is now available in both paperback and Kindle on Amazon. Liesl illustrated the book with 75 of her photographs and designed the book cover and the interior layout.

Michael writes:

"Vagabonds in France" is a lighthearted book about an unexpected travel adventure to France. Find out how life threw a lemon at us with losing our home, and our attempt to make lemonade. Putting all our furniture in storage, we left everything behind to experience an adventure of a lifetime. With no mortgage or rent to pay, we left with no return date or home to come back to. Exploring for 9 weeks, we traveled from Florida (Tampa and Key West), to Portugal (Funchal, Madeira), to Spain (Malaga, Cartagena, and Barcelona), to the Cote d'Azur in the south of France (Antibes, Nice, Eze, St. Paul de Vence), to Provence (Arles, Avignon), then a month in Paris....

Pick Here to Purchase Print, watermark will not show on print

Four simple and yet powerful words to live by, Eat, Drink, Play, Repeat. Children of all ages know how to do it, they are all born with it. As we grow up and older into the real adult world, we get busy, things get hectic, life gets in the way, and before you know it, in the midst of life, this most fundamental of philosophy is forgotten and lost in the depths of our childhood. Well, this is a gentle reminder, you were right when you were young, and this fabulously colorful and vibrant artwork will never let you forget those four simple words ever again, Eat, Drink, Play, Repeat!

And where else better to Eat Drink Play and Repeat!? San Francisco, the universes number one gastronomic orgy, world renowned award winning wines and other lively spirits, and not to mention the biggest playground in the galaxy masked as the City by The Bay. Nicholas Grunas On King Kong In Detroit

Nicholas Grunas On King Kong In Detroit

DETROIT, MI - News of plans for "King Kong : Skull Island" movie shot and set in Detroit has given some unexpected attention to a local artist who is a fan of the legendary ape.

Nicholas Grunas, 37, from southwest Detroit, created four one-of-a-kind, doctored up prints last fall as a fun way to celebrate a "Throwback Thursday" contest on a website.

Each shows King Kong terrorizing different parts of Detroit ranging from the Book Cadillac Hotel and Wurlitzer Building to Ford Field and Jefferson Avenue near the Renaissance Center.

These prints, based on actual photos of the city, are starting to go viral and have Grunas fired up to see the film that will reportedly star Michael Keaton, J.K. Simmons and Tom Hiddleston.

"I didn't plan on doing any more," Grunas told MLive.com. "But with the news of the movie being shot in my hometown, I just might have something up my sleeve."

You can check out all of Grunas' King Kong vs. Detroit work in the photo...

“Sacred Trust” Now Available in Bookstores and on Amazon

Wayne King’s New Novel Echos New Hampshire’s Own Ongoing Battle Over

Northern Pass

If the cover of “Sacred Trust”, created by Mike Marland, doesn’t clue you

in, it won’t take long to realize that this novel is written as a vicarious

homage to New Hampshire’s own ongoing battle over the controversial

“Northern Pass” project and other similar projects.

Author, former State Senator and 1994 Democratic Gubernatorial nominee

Wayne D. King adroitly weaves a story with a familiar ring . . . the clash

of ordinary people confronting money and power in an epic battle to protect

the land they love.

“Sacred Trust” is the tale of a rollicking campaign of civil disobedience

against a private powerline, pitting nine unlikely...

I was so happy to win with my Sparring Flickers photo. Following is the caption for the photo:

"I had just gone into the kitchen for a cup of tea, when I saw these two Northern Flickers on my deck railing, staring each other down and doing their head dance. A few minutes later, they flew up at each other in an aerial confrontation, and then took off in different directions."

IMAX Audubon Share The View 2018 Presentation February 2018

Judi Dressler presented as one of a panel of 10 "Best Photographers" at Denver Audubon's Share the View International Nature Photography Contest at Denver's CU South Denver IMAX theater. Below is the letter inviting her to participate:

"Based on your excellent Top 250 finish in the 2017 Share the View International Nature Photography Contest, you are invited to be part of the program February 14th on the IMAX screen at University of Colorado Denver -South. Ten photographers will present 10 images each while telling the story behind them in 3 ½ minutes. We’d like you to be one of them.

Rather than just showing a series of pictures, we’re looking for presentations on the theme of Discovery. An experience, a special technique or a memorable story are examples of what we’d like to see. Has your camera unexpectedly revealed something that will surprise us? Is there a special subject or location you’ve explored over time? Do you have a message you'd like to share...
