Agnes Czekman In Blank Wall Gallery

Fine Art Photography Exhibition

Duration:

26 May – 8 June 2017

“Fine Art” Photography is a different aspect of reality. An alternative version of what we see around us. It is interesting, but some times so far from our perspective that comes as a surprise. We can see the artists’ inspiration, as well as their view of the world around us. Sometimes things that we would have never noticed become the object of their photographs and the result is really amazing. Details we fail to notice acquire a totally new existence through the photographers’ lens.

Location: Blank Wall Gallery

55 Fokionos Negri Street

11361 – Athens – Greece

Back On FAA

I'm back on FAA after a period of not picking up the camera. I have been published in Ebony Magazine and had a picture featured here on FAA. I do have some new pictures mixed in with my favorites. Please contact me about any images I do have and I have images of the winning car from this years 24 hours of Daytona race. I love the American southwest because of its landscapes and small towns. I do live in the Orlando area so I do love the beaches of both coast. Look for more pictures to come in the future.

Photo For The Week Of 22 May - 29 May

May 22nd, 2017 - Kingston, NY

Photo For The Week Of 22 May - 29 May

Photo for the week of 22 May - 29 May This is a picture of one of the early engineering marvels of a new United States. The Delaware and Hudson Canal was constructed between 1825 and 1829 to transport anthracite coal from the coal fields in Pennsylvania to markets in New York City and other cities in the Northeast. The canal would also spin off another industry that would ultimately culminate with the building of the Brooklyn Bridge. That would the discovery of cement along parts of the canal. This photo is of Lock #2 located in Creeklocks, NY and is situated on private property. Charles van Wagenen has spent several years locating and documenting through both photos and video, the remaining pieces of the D&H Canal. His extensive photos may be found on the now defunct Panoramio Site, and video documenting sections of the canal may be found on YouTube. This photo and several others of the canal may be found in his collection on Fine Art America.

One Way To Help Venice

One Way To Help Venice

HOW TO HELP VENICE

We all know Venice is in danger – #savingvenice

A city swamped by mass tourism, slowly loosing the local communities who are inexorably leaving the city due to the high cost of living and the lack of support from local authorities, fighting the problem of acqua alta and of buildings which are slowly decaying and crumbling under the effect of time and the erosion of salty water.

It all sounds pretty sad and doomed.

Can it be stopped? Probably not, but we can at least try to bring to the attention of the world what is happening.

Tamara Sredojevic, a young French photographer, has decided to do her little bit in trying to save this city from sinking forever, both literally and figuratively.

She wrote to me few months back and asked me if I would be interested in spreading the word about her own photo project to raise funds for Venice endangered heritage.

I obviously said yes immediately and back in October I got the...

Contemplative Images Of Famous Interiors Without Selfie-Stick Holding Tourists

Contemplative Images Of Famous Interiors Without Selfie-Stick Holding Tourists

“I am a French photographer living in London, and my work focuses on historic architecture & heritage interiors,” says photographer Tamara Sredojevic about her work in an email pitch. According to her, she likes to work with empty buildings. “I like to give myself (and viewers) a chance to look at beautiful places without the mass of tourists holding selfie sticks.” She continues to state that it’s the only way you can fully immerse yourself into what was once possibly the house of a historical figure.

Tamara has been traveling for over a year taking these photos in both the US and Europe. Despite not being a professional photographer, Tamara’s work really shows us that you don’t need to be in order to create compelling images.

Here’s some more about Tamara and what she had to say about herself:

I have a background in film so I am mostly inspired by cinematographers. I really love British cinema, and the work of D.o.P Danny Cohen (The Danish Girl,...
