Featured Artist Joann Vitali On Photographing Boston

Joann Vitali was born in southern Connecticut. That is where her love for photographing the big city began. Being only 40 min from New York City, Joann spent most days off from work and school exploring the little neighborhoods and beautiful architecture of NYC. Always with camera in hand, always searching for the perfect light.
After moving deeper into New England, but only 30 miles from Boston, she hasn't had to let go of her passion for shooting the urban jungle. Boston, with it's rich history and charming neighborhoods, several beautiful angles of skyline, and that awesome architecture with it's mixture of old americana and modern design, is a photographer's dream.
Over the years Joann's work has been featured in calendars, greeting cards, a magazine cover and real estate brochures. Several pieces grace the walls of local restaurants and a hotel. She has also been a featured artist of the month and a regular contributor to Bella Online Magazine.
Joann has been quoted saying "When I photograph throughout Boston I don't want it to be just "another city shot". I want to capture the essence and charm of the neighborhoods that make up the city in a way that the lens cannot capture, bringing out the true spirit and substance of the scene". This is what she brings to every project she takes on.
Currently Joann is working on publishing an all inclusive 12x12 full Color Calendar of Boston for 2015.
