About The Photographers:
Peggy is a medical product designer with a passion for photography and live music. Her music themed photography reflects her ties to Milwaukee musicians, artists and community. Peggy's live performance images are often humorous and playful, just like her subjects.
My life and my art are both eclectic. Mostly I'm a painter...but I also combine glazes, photos and texture on different surfaces. This exhibit contains 10 new pieces combining paint and photography on raised layered boards in a unique and hip style. I am blessed to call many of the musicians I photograph friends. My large collection of unframed mixed media jazz musician art will also be featured. Other recent work includes urban landscapes and abstracts. As “ART BY ANITA”, my day job is creating faux finishes and custom murals. Additionally, I design websites and play piano for weddings and parties. Energy, rhythm, harmony and balance are values I aim for in my art and life.
Jennifer's passion for photography and art blossomed throughout her schooling while developing her own film and prints, spending hours in the darkroom. Jennifer went on to study at MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design). Jennifer has a passion for both music and dance which continues to influence her photography. For 8 years Jennifer was the Talent Buyer and booked the musical acts for the well known summer concert series
“Jazz in the Park”, which is where she began her creative journey photographing Milwaukee musicians. She loves photographing musicians in live performances, capturing the true essence of who they are, that one moment in time forever encapsulated in a photograph.
