Marlene Burns Unveils Avinu Malkeinu For The High Holy Days 5773

June 10th, 2012 - Tucson, AZ

Artist Marlene Burns is pleased to present her new image for the High Holy Days 5773. The title of the painting is "Avinu Malkeinu: our Father our King."

The painting is filled with bold brush strokes and a hot color palette of oranges, red-oranges, red, red-violets and purples.

The prayer is one of the most poignant groups of supplications said between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, where we ask God to hear our pleas and inscribe and seal us in the book of life for the coming year.

The first two lines of the prayer was first written in the second century by Rabbi Akivah.

For information on the availability of this mixed media acrylic painting ( 36"x36") and fine art reproductions on paper and canvas as giclées, please contact Marlene at info@kavanahpress.com
