The Virtual Poetry Series By Edward M. Fielding

The Virtual Poetry Series of fine art composite photographs by fine art photographer Edward M. Fielding is an exploration into the surreal. Created as an exploration into imagery, dreamscapes and the imagination, the series started with not particular goal or direction. Arrangement of the various layers and imagery lead from one to another as a playful journey into the unknown began with the collection of original photographs.
At the start of each image in the series, only a few selected images were used to spark the unconscious exploration. A few elements bind some of the images together, the blank piece of paper or canvas that is the start and the fear of every artists or author. The blank piece of paper on the typewriter begging to have a story told, the blank canvas mocking the artist to begin a new piece. The paper ripped up and throw in the trash or folded into a paper airplane and sent aloft.
Ideas for images and concepts are often well planned before the start of a project, in this case the ideas flowed through the process of creating these multilayered pieces full of suggestion, ideas and fantasy.
