Lovely photo, v :)

Great macro!

cool...v

Ok I am guessing that is a bullet right? ..I love your very technical and law of physics explanations ..I do not anything at all about shell cases ..now what is that riffle used for..hunting duck? nahhh..that would probably make way too much noise..and scare them all..was that a historical wapon ? I love the different collor of the brass and the hit markes from the middle of the shot cup..I guess it was fired a few times! I guess I just git my answer to my question..I noticed the duck engraved into the shell case! Ducks have a short term memory and still comeback after earing the loud power of the riffle! ;-p Fav. Voted!

Fantastic Macro shot! No pun intended.......love the texture and golden tones! WfnA v/f !

Very cool macro! VF

Artist's Description

Federal 12 Gauge Shotgun Shell - Original fine art industrial bullet photography by Bob Orsillo Copyright (c)Bob Orsillo / http://orsillo.com - All Rights Reserved. Buy art online. Buy photography online. Federal Field Load #5 12 Gauge Shotgun Shell A shotgun shell or shotshell is a self-contained cartridge loaded with lead shot or a shotgun slug which is designed to be fired from a shotgun. Most shotgun shells are designed to be fired from a smoothbore barrel, but dedicated shotguns with rifled barrels may take a number of different rounds. A rifled barrel will increase the accuracy of slugs, but makes it unsuitable for firing shot, as it imparts a spin to the shot cup, causing a centrifugal force that makes the shot form a hollow "O" shape in flight. Non-lethal shotgun ammunition is available in the form of slugs made of low-density material, such as rubber
