Zavicon Island metal print by Phil Chadwick. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum.
The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).
All metal prints ship within 3 - 4 business days and arrive "ready to hang" with mounting hooks and nails.

Artist's Description
This is Zavicon Island painted from a small patch of grass on the south slope of Pine Island looking south at around 2 pm on Friday September 9th, 2011. This is the first day of the 10th Annual International Plein Air Painters Paint Out. We have 20 artists participating in the Rockport Event which was cosponsored by the Rockport Development Group.
The cottage needs a new roof badly... I was painting with my friend Bruce Sherman again, for the first time in years! It was great.

I paint outside - nothing between my eyes and the inspiration. That special connectivity gets into the pigments and you quickly realize that we are all stewards of the land, privileged to appreciate its beauty during our lifetime but responsible for leaving the environment better off for the future and all inhabitants... Phil was born and raised along the St. Lawrence of Ontario, Canada and studied at Queens University as a nuclear physicist. A meteorologist for Environment Canada for 35 years, Phil specializes in severe weather and training. Remote sensing is his forte - you might want to see a tornado before you die... but not just before you die! He has farmed, raised bees, written books and articles, lectured and instructed...

This is another of the Thousand Islands... they are challenging places to build on ... surrounded by water and not always accessible. This one was quite beautiful but needed a lot of work ... and probably money.
