Artist's Description

MODEL RELEASED. Microscopic Black hole simulation on a computer illustration of the Large Hadron Collider at CERN, Geneva. Colliding beams of subatomic particles produce showers of decay particles, indicated by the coloured tracks, and are observed passing through a serires of concentric arrays of detector rings. (These inner rings of detectors have been removed for clarity). The colours of the tracks show different particles emerging from the black hole decay following the proton-proton collision. In 2014 the Higgs Boson was observed by the LHC and CMS detectors..
