Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Eosinophil. Coloured transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of an eosinophil (white blood cell) within a capillary (pink). Eosinophils are part of the body's immune system. The cell's nucleus (dark blue) contains chromatin. In the cell's cytoplasm (pale blue) are many enzyme-containing granules (yellow), used to destroy invading organisms. Eosinophils are involved in the body's allergic response and also help to defend the body from invading parasites. They are capable of ingesting and destroying foreign particles by a process known as phagocytosis. Magnification: x3,500 when printed 10 centimetres wide.
