I fell in love with this photo the day that Jan posted it. The cards are beautiful, frame able for a small space. I like that they have plenty of room for writing or doodling inside.

Artist's Description

Francis Bacon, English philosopher and statesman (1561-1626). Bacon (centre) wrote extensively on philosophy, advocating inductive reasoning from fact through axiom to law. His thoughts were published in the work Novum Organum in 1620, widely regarded as the catalyst of the scientific revolution. Bacon served as Attorney General and Lord Chancellor of England. He was knighted in 1603, created Baron Verulam in 1618, and Viscount St Alban in 1621. Also in 1621 a Parliamentary Committee charged him with corruption. He pleaded guilty. He is seen here receiving a Committee of Lords sent to ascertain that the signature on the confession was really his.
